Longmeadow Volunteer Fire Company, Inc.
The Longmeadow Volunteer Fire Company holds in-house training every Monday night (with the exception of the Membership meeting nights- the second Monday of the month). This training is a requirement of membership at Longmeadow helping us to meet many yearly requirements. These classes are either taught by qualified, Longmeadow firefighters/Officers, or one of our several MFRI instructors.
Along with helping our firefighters keep their certifications current (for example- CPR, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazmat, and SCBA), this training helps us to be a more cohesive group and work better as a team. The training division at Longmeadow is led by the Fire Chief Jason Eckstine and his training usually draws about 15-20 firefighters a week.
