There are opportunities to make a difference in your community by joining the efforts. The facts are firefighter duties have shifted over the years to be dispatched to fire calls, auto vehicle accidents, perform water rescues during flood conditions, protect during hazard material spills, respond to medical assistance calls (as requested), and provide support and services during natural disasters. The number of calls is on the rise so let’s match these numbers with an increased number of volunteers. Volunteers are additionally needed for administrative duties and as auxiliary members who give aid and support to the organization.

Both monetary and donations of supplies are greatly appreciated. Studies indicate 60% of a volunteer’s time is spent fundraising. If you’re able, please consider a making a recurring monthly monetary donation to the department. Fundraising events and the annual fund drives are held to generate monies to cover the departments expenses and needs, pay for updated equipment and gear, and pay for the recent building expansion. When you purchase a raffle ticket, make a purchase during the home-made soup sale and during a Saturday chicken BBQ, or rent a booth space or parking space during the Community Mile Long Yard Sale, you’re contributing a gift of support to the fire department.
